Sound & Color & Motion

Sound & Color & Motion uses basic shapes to synchronize with the instruments heard throughout the Alabama Shakes 2015 hit, “Gimme All Your Love.” The composition builds detail through carefully timed layers to match the ordered, progressive nature of the song; as the song crescendos and accelerates, more complexity is added. Repetitions in the music parallel with repeated visual elements. The graphic’s title, “Sound & Color & Motion” nods at the album the song came from, “Sound & Color,” while referencing the movement that brings the song to life.
